Help & Tutorial

Mastering the Interface

Welcome, adventurer. Your AI Game Master is a powerful storytelling tool. This guide will help you understand all features and how to get the best experience from your sessions.

The Interface

1. Chat Interface

The central area is where the story unfolds. Read the Game Master's descriptions here. Type your character's actions and dialogue in the text box at the bottom.

2. Character Sheet

On desktop, your character sheet is on the right. On mobile, tap the 🎒 button to open it. It tracks your HP, Stats, Inventory, Spells, and Level automatically.

3. Spellbook (New!)

For magic users, your spells are listed in the Character Sheet. Hover over any spell to see its range, damage, and description. Slots are tracked at the top.

4. Dice Roller

Click the 🎲 icon near the input box to open the 3D Dice Roller. You can roll for checks manually, or let the AI roll for you in the story.

4. Game Menu

Located at the top right ("⚔️ Options"). Use this to Save Game, Export to PDF, Reset Adventure, or manage your Account.

Talking to the AI Game Master

Action vs. Dialogue

To get the most immersive responses, distinguish clearly between what your character does and what they say.

  • Action: "I draw my sword and charge at the goblin."
  • Magic: "I cast Magic Missile at the darkness!"
  • Dialogue: "I shout, 'For the glory of the kingdom!'"
  • Combined: "I carefully open the door and whisper, 'Is anyone in there?'"

Be Specific

Instead of saying "I look around," try "I investigate the desk for hidden compartments." The AI rewards creativity and specific intent with better outcomes.

Asking Questions

You can ask the DM questions about the world.
"What do I know about this castle's history?" or "Do I see any alternate exits?"

Performance & Tips

Response Time

The AI thinks deeply to generate consistent stories and track stats. Responses typically take 5-10 seconds. Please be patient and do not refresh the page while the "Game Master is thinking..." indicator is active.

Handling Errors

If the AI seems stuck or returns an error, wait a moment and try sending your message again. If the issue persists, you can reload the page—your game is auto-saved locally every turn.
